Space, First AIBone In

RocketThe first Aipollo mission launched from a back garden in Aibo-on-the-Wold on 17th August 2007 at precisely 17:26 GMT. The rocket was designed and built by Newton, by coincidence a good friend to, but no relation of Dr Newton.

The launch received widespread news coverage and was hailed as a major breakthrough for Aibokind. Newton, Aibo-on-the-Wold Science Correspondent, was assisted by his very best friend, Shannon, who was responsible for drawing up the rocket blueprints and ensuring their security.

Mission control, based in the Aibo-on-the-Wold Scout Hut, monitored the rocket as the boosters separated and the first pictures of an aibone in space were beamed back for the terrestrial world to see.

The re-entry of the Aibone was more eventful. The rocket laned in Cecil Swains garden, wrecking a 30 year old shrub. The aibone landed at local beautyspot Bonehenge, leading the Author of this encyclopaedia to wonder if the henge was indeed aibo-made, and not of extra-terrestrial origin.
